National Best Friend Day

In honor of National Best Friend(s) day yesterday, I'm dedicating today's blog post to my besties. These girls are the ones who have been there through thick and thin, picked me up when I've fallen down, given me hope when I didn't have any, cheered me on when I wanted to give up, these girls know my heart- the good, the bad, and the most vulnerable. And not once taken for granted or judged. The ones who've loved me without reservation and helped me become the person I am today. Without each of them, I would be lost. I've known these girls since we were toddlers playing in the neighborhood. The seemingly "silly" friendships on the playground have withstood the glory days of  elementary school, awkward middle school years, and the fastest 3 years of high school. Each of these relationships have developed into wonderful, long-lasting friendships that I treasure immensely.

It's truly amazing to have friendships that turn into sisterhoods because you know that no matter what happens, someone always has your back. No matter where we are in life- next to each other or miles apart, we will always be there for one and other- picking up right where we left off. These are the girls I can't imagine not having next to me on my wedding day, having my kids call them "Aunt" and so much more.

As Carly said in a post quite a long time ago, I specifically remember this quote and it has stuck with me for some time..."beautiful, soulful friendships aren't meant to drain you." Beyond true. I couldn't imagine going through life without these girls by my side.

Linking up with Meg for Mingle Monday!
