I still remember September 11, 2001 like it was yesterday. I was sitting in my 3rd grade classroom and our student teacher was reading us a story. It was all such a blur.
This past 4th of July my family and I decided to visit the 9/11 memorial near our house. It was beautiful and so powerful. I'm very glad we visited. We had a family friend pass away in the WTC and it was very emotional to see his name on the plaques along with all of the other victims. I wish I had taken more pictures of the memorial because it was really beautiful.

They did many symbolic things such as a maple tree around the perimeter acknowledging the victims who lived in Pennsylvania. Lights representing all of the children who lost parents in 9/11. (Those are just to name a few!)

Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning......
I can not listen to this song without crying. It's impossible. So powerful.
Never Forget. Never take life for granted. Always say I love you and God Bless the USA.
